Project description
The artwork: "Gravitation" – a man between the tides.
The project, “SUN CYTY" - Gravitation" – Work in Progress, is based on "Real life"– experience, visual and sound documentation
Real life: project "ATLANTIC SONG"
Thirty days of documented tidal movement at sunrise on Brazil's Atlantic coast, with sound, video and photos
"GRAVITATION"
The performer, lost in his own thoughts, observes the ocean's vast horizon.
He does not move, but the ocean is in constant movement, coming and going like the cycles of day and night.
Sunlight sequences are copied on at rhythmic intervals, flooding the space with the rhythms of macro and micro geo-changes.
Image: „SUN CITY“- Gravitation" video – consists of multiplied picture frequencies.
Rhythms at which man comes and goes, only to come again.
Sound: The documentary sound of the ocean, "A Song of the Ocean Life", is spliced together from the roars of the waves and the sunlight.
Real life 09 focuses on the language of nature, the song of the water, the singing dunes and people.
Subject: The project, "SUN CITY- GRAVITATION RHYTHMS“-–
video installation, consists of slow, pulse-like rhythms spliced together, coming and going, breathing in and breathing out.

Video installation
Three video projectors show the SUN CITY- GRAVITATION RHYTHMS“-video at the same time, side by side, as a loop. To the left and right is the sun-video theme, which consists of a sun rising and descending on the horizon. In all there will be five videos using five video projectors.
Small loudspeakers (nine for example, depending on the room’s dimensions) hang from the ceiling as a multi-channel system and play the "Gravitation" soundscape.
Sound installation . Cooperation with audio designer Eddi Lecesne
Optionally, "transducers" attached under the seats send the low frequencies from the "Gravitation" soundscape through the seated visitor's body.
Technical details:
The "Gravitation" soundscape will be edited and fine-tuned specially for the outdoor installation (see: "Gravitation" – Audio CD).
This "Gravitation" can be viewed on a monitor as a sketch for a definitive video production.
